10. Automatic restart and/or shutdown of the computer
For smooth operation of the computer, it is advisable to restart it or shut it down after long periods of operation. Typically, the computer boots from BIOS at a predetermined time and shuts down or restarts once a day. If the computer’s BIOS supports it, it is also recommended to configure the computer to return to the state it was in after a power failure.
There are various options for restarting or shutting down the computer. We will use the crontab for advanced users.
Crontab
Open the terminal, logging in with root and launching the following command:
Add this line for daily restart at 23:00.

The music players do not have the HDMI cable connected to them. This causes Teamviewer 14 to show a black screen when you connect. Two options have been found to fix this, but the option below gives the best results.
Once the change has been applied and the computer restarted, you will no longer see the image on the HDMI monitor and will only be able to interact with the computer via remote platform access or Teamviewer.
To undo the change, simply delete a file via Teamviewer or SSH. The file to be deleted is:
For automatic login to the desktop to work, it is also necessary to remove the dummy driver installed by the script.
After deleting this file and restarting, you should see the image on the monitor again if you plug it into HDMI.

Open the terminal and run alsamixer.
After this, the handling of the Alsa controller that emits the sound will appear.
By pressing F6, you can change the default graphics card. This can solve quite a few sound problems although there are some that it will not solve.
If, after doing all the above, it is still not working, the only option is to restart or reinstall Alsa and PulseAudio. To do this, run the following commands on the terminal:
This will restart the service, and Alsa and PulseAudio can be reinstalled by running the following commands:
Password recovery
If you have lost your user’s password or been assigned an incorrect password, you can recover it by doing the following:
Switch on the computer, press shift or esc.
Go to the recovery mode console.
Here you can apply the same procedure as above to change the password, but you must first mount the root partition with:
Then proceed to change your password:
Disable/enable firewall
In the event of firewall issues, you can disable or enable it using the console.
Open the console.
To disable the firewall:
To enable it:
