Campaigns

The Campaign tool allows content to be distributed to the Players of the circuit by creating advertising campaigns (in four simple steps).

In this way, it is not necessary to assign distribution criteria and categories to the contents, but when adding one or several contents to a reservation, they will take the information defined for the campaign.

Advanced Mode Basics

Category

Tag or keyword that names the type of content. The categories are used in the advanced mode to automatically generate playlists, respecting the broadcast percentage that this content category has in the ratio (eg 50% advertising). The categories are applied to the contents and to the percentages of the broadcast ratio.

Criteria

Tag or keyword that determines the distribution of the content – for example, “All Players”, or by location of the player (city, shopping center, etc.)–. Criteria are used in Advanced Mode to automatically generate playlists, and are applied to content and players.

Ratio

Broadcast percentage (“screen share”) for each content category. The broadcast ratio is applied to the players of the circuit (Playlist with criteria).

See also section on Ratios new ratios by Slots.

Player mode (auto)

It is important to note that in order for the content included in the confirmed and approved campaigns to be broadcast on the circuit’s players, they must be in automatic mode.

To perform this action, you must go to the players list of the portal, in the Inventory section, and click on the configuration form.

Playlists by criteria

Once you have completed the steps to configure a project in advanced mode, you can monitor the correct generation of playlists with criteria for each player on the circuit from the Playlist with criteria page, by clicking on the icon (the system displays a list of the contents and its exact position on the timeline) or reviewing the list of contents assigned to the player auto.

If there is a problem in the generation, a notice or warning is displayed that the system cannot generate the playlist in advanced mode, generally if this happens it is because some configuration of the indicated parameters (criteria, categories, ratio) is missing. or there are not enough contents to complete the timeline.

List of Campaigns

Presents the list of campaigns in chronological order of creation.

In the campaign list options menu you can see the details of each campaign, including the affected players (where the scheduled content will be broadcast)

For the content to be broadcast, the campaigns created in the system must be Confirmed and in Approved status, and in addition, the ratio that the player has assigned must have the category tags that we have marked in the campaign assigned.

It is possible to create as many “tags” as desired within the groups of general types of content, although it is important to bear in mind that if new groups or category tags are created, they must be included in the corresponding percentage of the broadcast ratio assigned to the players. If the new tag/category is not added to the broadcast ratio assigned to the player, the content will not be distributed, even if the player has the corresponding criteria.

It is important that, in case of creating a new location criteria tag, it is also assigned to the corresponding player, for a correct distribution of the programmed contents.

To search for a campaign within the entire list of campaigns, we can do it from the magnifying glass at the top and thus filter by name, criteria,…

Campaign programming

To create a campaign, follow these four steps:

  1. Define the title and duration of the campaign

  2. Assignment of criteria and category of the campaign (allow the distribution of content to players who have assigned the same criteria)

  3. Elements to configure in this step: Ranges of broadcast dates/times and content of the campaign

  • Broadcast mode: By default, the campaigns are broadcast unlimitedly, that is, the hourly screenings of the content scheduled in the broadcast timeline are not limited. If you want to define a number of passes per hour, you must check this option and define the number. of showings in the Shows per hour selector.

VIP passes allow you to add X passes per hour in case there is low occupancy and there is free time left in the timeline (after the inclusion of all the campaigns scheduled with passes for that period in the players related by the selected criteria)

  • General date range: By default, a single range is created that includes the general duration of the campaign (defined in step 1). Likewise, auto dial every day of the week included in that date range (from 0 to 24 hrs).

  • Add content: From the selector of the content uploaded to the project, mark the one you want to include in the campaign. You can search (Magnifying glass icon) for the content you want to include by title, duration or criteria/category tag assigned to the files.

  • Assign specific ranges and/or times (of those created in the campaign) to each content.

  1. Booking: Tool for checking (optional) the availability of space in the channel for the issuance of scheduled screenings. It is not necessary if hourly passes are not defined in the campaign (unlimited emission mode)

Extension of the validity of the campaigns created in the system

If you need to extend the validity of a campaign that has already been created and/or expired, you must edit it (click on the pencil icon from the list of campaigns) and enter the new end date in step 1.

Once the assignment of criteria and category of the campaign has been confirmed, as well as the contents or creativities to be broadcast in step 3, it will be necessary to review the assigned ranges and/or schedules in order to cover the extended days of validity of the campaign. .

New Auto Ranking functionality

In order to improve usability in editing campaigns, a new system for creating and automatically assigning ranges and broadcast times to the content included in each campaign has been implemented.

This system is implemented in such a way that there can be no empty time periods, they will always be occupied by one or more ranks. The general ranges can be assigned or not to the contents but in no case can they be modified individually by content.

Now, once the duration of the campaign has been defined in the first creation and/or edition step, and after assigning campaign criteria and category, you can create/limit –within this general interval– as many ranges as you need to have to its segmented assignment to the contents of the campaign.

These automatic ranges are created by modifying the campaign’s overall range end date. In the same way, when changes are made to the start/end date of the different emission date ranges defined in the campaign, the necessary ranges will be automatically created to cover all the days of the campaign duration (provided that no date is confirmed). creating a new intermediate range).

Option to create new intermediate ranges

Due to the operation of the new auto range system, when editing the start or end dates of a range, the dates of the previous or subsequent range are also modified, in order to cover all the days that comprise the general duration of the campaign. In order to minimize the editing work, in cases of use in which intermediate ranges are added (between the one that begins with the start date of the campaign and the one that ends with the end date of the same) Implemented the option to create a new subrange, instead of modifying existing ranges.

If it is confirmed that Yes you want to create a range, this new range will include the dates that remain free between the end date defined for the previous range and the start date of the later one (not inclusive).

The new ranges created are NOT automatically added to the content included in the campaign. If you want to add the new intermediate broadcast range to the content or contents of the campaign, you must perform this action by displaying the Schedules of each content, in the lower section of the configuration form (step 3 of campaign creation/editing).

Rank Schedules

The schedules, which by default cover all the days of the week included in the range, can be limited both in days of the week and in the broadcast time slots (unchecking the checkboxes)

It is important to bear in mind that if the default schedule is edited, or new limited schedules are added to the range, the changes will affect all content assigned to that range.

The segmentation of ranges and times can ONLY be done in the general ranges of the campaign, NOT in those assigned to each content.

On the other hand, if the date range of a given range is extended, the new days of the week included in the date range will be marked automatically (in ALL times added to the range).
