Upload content

Introduction

By clicking on the Upload tab we will access this section, through which we can upload, manage and even, thanks to the Smartcontent tool, create the contents of our project.

Using the Upload option we can upload files to the portal or add other types of content such as Widgets or Web Content.

Type

Content

It allows uploading simple files (images, Flash, Video) to be displayed in full screen.

Flash/HTML + Attachments

Allows you to upload base content (SWF or HTML) and attachments (XML, JPG, etc)

Attached files

Allows you to upload base content (SWF or HTML) and attachments (XML, JPG, etc)

Dispositivo de Captura

Permite añadir un dispositivo de captura de vídeo compatible con Flash. El contenido subido desde este dispositivo podrá ser incrustado en plantillas.

Capture Device

Allows you to add a URL to display Web content.

Widgets

RSS applications that perform daily readings of information from other websites (news, weather, time, date)

Formats accepted by the system

The system accepts the vast majority of common video formats, with or without sound (mov, mp4, flv, wmv, mpg) and image formats (gif, jpg, jpeg, png), as well as Flash files (swf) and HTML.

For more information on accepted formats and technical file requirements, visit this article:

pageCompatible formats and technical requirements

Auto Encoder

The Admira portal has an encoder that optimizes the performance of the contents. In case some parameter of the content is not suitable (weight, codec, format...). The server will automatically convert them to the format optimized for broadcast.

Upload content

Cuando subamos un archivo “Flash/HTML+Adjuntos” veremos esta pantalla:

  1. Name the file

  2. Put a small description to the content. It also allows you to generate a QR code, but we will see that later. (Optional)

  3. Set start and expiration date to content * By default the start date is the current day and does not expire

  4. Set start time and end time to content * Default is 00:00 in both cases

  5. Set duration. It allows us to choose the duration for the content that is uploaded, the duration will affect images, HTML and Web content. This does not modify the Audio, Video, or Gif Files.

  6. In the Playlist tab, select the predefined playlists where the content should appear

  7. In the Blocks tab, select the predefined blocks where the content must be placed

  8. Follow the same selection process for the Criteria and Categories tabs. * The broadcast mode tab will be included soon to improve usability

  9. Local content search

  10. You can do a multiple file upload by adding search fields

  11. Upload the file to the system

Note

In the case of "Flash/HTML +Attachments" on the right there will be an option to upload the .swf/.html attachments

Flash/HTML with Attachments

Attachments (.xml, .txt, .jpg, etc.) for Flash content can be uploaded and removed independently of the .swf/.html file (that is, without the need to use “Flash/HTML + Attachments”) using the “Attachments” option provided that the Flash or HTML content has been previously uploaded to the system. The files are linked as long as the Flash/HTML content has their reference (therefore they must keep the same name).

Simply choose the already uploaded Flash/HTML content to modify its attachments to.

Once chosen, we will see this screen:

  1. Choose existing Flash/HTML content

  2. List of current attachments

  3. Add Attachment URLs

  4. Add Attachments

  5. Choose the necessary Criteria and Category Tags. (Optional)

Nota

Clicking the red cross to the right of each item removes the attached content.

Capture Devices

When content is added through Capture Devices (cameras, DTT, TV…) several fields must be defined.

Video and Audio IDs can be obtained by pressing D on the Player (while it is playing). Doing so will display a list of devices connected to the Player and their IDs.

You can connect a webcam or any capture device compatible with Flash Player, thus allowing you to capture content from a DVD or a DTT signal (Through the output of a television, from which you can control the broadcast, for example).

If a video capture device is used, we recommend the SVEON stv40 model.

It is recommended to use this type of content with the template functionality

Web content

When uploading a WEB Content, you must specify the URL and the duration of the content.

The web page will be displayed in the same way as if it were accessed through a browser, but in full screen (that is, without the address bars, menu or tools)

Widgets

There are currently five types of Widget content.

  • RSS: Play an RSS Feed given its URL

  • Clock: Show current time full screen

  • Date: Show current date full screen

  • Meteo: Displays weather information for the specified city

  • Twitter: Show the latest tweets from a given user account
